standard theme doesn't show secondary text when large font size is used

When a relatively large font size is used I can only see the primary text and none of the secondary text in the notification. It worked fine using the bubble theme in a previous release.
Also, I can't seem to get the bubble theme to work by setting it in gconf. The bubble theme is so much nicer.
